# Role Reference

This guide provides detailed information about each role in Dailybread. Use this reference to understand what you can do with your current role or to decide what role to assign to team members.

## Owner

The user that creates the original company is the Owner. There can only be one owner per account - if you would like to transfer ownership, please
contact support.

### Capabilities

* Full access to all features and settings

Owners have unlimited access to everything in their company account.

## Admin

Senior managers or lead staff who need nearly complete access but aren't company owners.

### Capabilities

* View and update company settings
* Full control over:
  * [Recipes](/recipes/overview)
  * [Inventory](/inventory/overview)
  * [Orders](/orders/overview)
  * [Forms](/forms/overview)
  * [Team management](/users/team-management)
* Access to company-wide reports and analytics

### Restrictions

* Cannot delete the company
* Cannot access certain billing features

## Editor

Kitchen managers, head chefs, or staff who need to create and update recipes and manage daily operations.

### Capabilities

* Edit-only access to:
  * [Recipes](/recipes/overview)
  * [Inventory](/inventory/overview)
  * [Orders](/orders/overview)
  * [Forms](/forms/overview)
* Access to company-wide reports and analytics

## Viewer

Staff members, contractors, or partners who need to see recipes and information but shouldn't make changes.

### Capabilities

* View-only access to:
  * [Recipes](/recipes/overview) (only those marked as published)
  * [Orders](/orders/overview)
  * [Forms](/forms/overview)

## Customer

External customers who interact with your public-facing features like booking forms or event registration.

### Capabilities

* Customer access is not currently available
