Organize and track order fulfillment with the prep list
The prep list is your production workspace. It combines all line items from your orders and groups them by product, making it easy to see exactly what
you need to prepare. Instead of looking at individual orders, you get a consolidated view of all items that need to be made for a given day, week or
month, giving you a clear picture of your production needs.
Only orders with fulfillments are included in the prep list. This means that if an order does not have any fulfillment details - for example, if it’s
an order that was placed via the Square Register without any delivery or pickup information - it will not appear in the prep list.In addition to only showing orders with fulfillments, the prep list automatically filters out draft orders to show only orders that have been paid via Square, or have
been set to open in Dailybread (and thus have an invoice associated with them).
Each product variant is listed out individually by row. For example, if we have one Cinnamon Roll product with two variants: one with Caramel icing and one
with Cream Cheese icing, these will appear as two separate lines in the prep list:
By default, products are grouped by their name, variant, and modifier. This means that if multiple orders contain the same product with the same
variant and modifier, they will be combined into a single line item in the prep list. However, you can group products based on the product name by
changing the “Group by” setting at the top-left of the prep list table. On mobile devices, this setting is found by clicking on the stacked-cards
icon .
The prep list shares filters with the Orders page, allowing you to customize your view based on your needs filtering to specific locations or
fulfillment dates.
Filters are shared across pages. When you set filters on the Orders page, those same filters apply to the Prep List page. This keeps your
workflow consistent and saves you from having to re-filter when switching between views.
